There’s a lot on the 2022 Top Workplaces USA list that recognizes organizations with a people-centered culture.
“Much of it, our culture is based on people: our employees, our customers, and our community partners,” said managing partner Mitchell Roth. “We work every day to support a collaborative, friendly and service-oriented environment, so it’s a great honor to be recognized nationally for our culture.”
The rankings are based on employee feedback from a survey conducted by Energage, a technology partner of employee engagement. The survey measured various aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution, connection, and so on.
Womble Bond Dickinson is one of the best places to work for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ +) job equality, with a perfect score of 100 percent on the 2022 Corporate Equality Index (CEI).
The survey is managed by the Human Rights Campaign and serves as a reference tool to track how companies are adopting workplace policies, practices and benefits for LGBTQ + employees. Womble Bond Dickinson has achieved perfect scores every year since 2015.

Lawdragon Foley & amp; Lardner and Daniel Kaplan, John (Jack) Lord, Jr. and Rachel Powitzky Steely’s 2022 500 Leading U.S. In the 2022 edition of Corporate Employment Lawyers, he makes the annual recognition of the nation’s top advisers on national labor issues. Lawdragon selected the winners on submissions based on editorial analysis and journalistic research.
Lawdragon said this year’s tribute “specializes in corporate advocacy ranging from wage and overtime claims to trade secret conflicts, while at the same time helping companies retain global employees throughout the pandemic.”
Law firm Hiring & Additions
Varnum LLP expanded its intellectual property practice with the addition of Timothy D. Kroninger. Incorporated as a partner in the company’s Detroit office, Mr. Kroninger focuses his practice on copyright laws, trade secret laws, patent and trademark lawsuits, and more. He also has experience in designing design patent applications, as well as participating in trademark opposition proceedings with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
Beyond Varnum’s practice, Mr. Kroninger works as a supervising attorney at the Mercy College of Law and Trademark Clinic in Detroit. There, he teaches law students copyright registration, writing corporate documents, and trademark protection.
Beveridge & amp; Diamond PC selected four new directors: Eric Christensen, based in Seattle; Allyn Stern, Seattle; Michael Vitris, located in Austin; and Gus Winkes, based in Seattle. Mr. Christensen works in energy law and helps businesses and consumers navigate the legal landscape and regulations. Ms. Stern, a former U.S. EPA regional consultant, helps clients develop environmental compliance strategies. Mr. Winkles works in a variety of areas and provides legal representation in the areas of advocacy, enforcement, and cleanup of contaminated sites. Mr. Vitris, a former attorney for the Texas Environmental Quality Commission, advocates for corporate and environmental action.

Barnes & amp; Thornburg LLP has added five new lawyers and legal professionals to various offices. Associate William Choi joined the company’s Los Angeles office, and Associate Albert D. Farr joined the New York office. Mr. Choi focuses his practice on product liability and complex civil litigation, and is well versed in all aspects of pre-trial case management. Mr. Farr also specializes in transaction tax law, advising clients on strategic multinationals and private equity on transaction tax structuring, tax due diligence, and more.
In addition, legal professionals Amit Datta, Al Maloof and Soyoung Yang Barnes & amp; Thornburg in Chicago, Indianapolis and Washington D.C. offices, respectively. Dr. Datta, a business transaction consultant, provides targeted legal advice and strategic insight to European clients doing business in the US. Mr. Maloof, a specialist in customer relations, provides strategic advice to the company’s government services, compliance and regulatory attorneys. Ms. Yang, a law fellow, assists lawyers and clients in matters related to international trade, customs, and the supply chain.
William L. Nimick Goldberg joined Segalla LLP’s Construction Litigation and Lawyer Practice Group. An experienced attorney, Mr. Nimick is in the company’s Raleigh office, where he advises insurers, contractors, subcontractors and corporate entities on liability claims, including but not limited to property damage, personal injury and construction defects.
Previously, Mr. Nimick worked as a civil lawsuit throughout North Carolina, representing clients in areas such as unjust death, employee compensation, and subrogation. Specifically, it handled subrogation claims such as motor vehicle accidents, product liability lawsuits, and large fire losses.
Women in the Legal Industry
Angela Bowlin of the Frilot LLC Law Firm has approved a service with the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC), an organization representing lawyers representing corporate and insurance matters. Ms. Bowlin focuses his practice on damages and class actions, with experience in asbestos and other toxic damage cases.
“I am honored to have been selected as a member of the IADC and look forward to working on many important committees related to the law and its many aspects,” Ms. Bowlin said.
Nicole Archibald joined Foley Hoag LLP as Director of Legal Procurement. Ms. Archibald will work with the Foley Hoag team to attract and promote a diverse group of lawyers to help the company achieve its diversity and inclusion goals.

Norton Rose Fulbright appointed Robin Adelstein as a partner in New York as Chief Commercial Officer, joining Houston partner Andrew Price. Ms. Adelstein has extensive experience in judging complex trade disputes and advising companies on antitrust issues related to mergers, joint ventures and more.
“Robin has long been respected as a leader within the company, as the leader of our Global and US Confidence and Competition, and is a well-known practitioner in his field. was Jeff Cody, managing partner of Norton Rose Fulbright in the US.
