Pro Bono and Legal Aid Efforts
Gilbert LLP, a law firm focused on resolving complex disputes in Washington D.C., has announced a new pro bono project, aimed at helping victims of this winter’s deadly tornadoes in Kentucky. The company has partnered with Disaster Relief at Work and the city of Mayfield, Kentucky to restore a local park that was badly damaged by the weather. Gilbert will also make a significant financial contribution to ensure the park is restored to its former state.

In partnership with Lawyers for Good Government (L4GG), the law firm Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP provides free legal aid to Ukrainian citizens seeking temporary protection status in the United States. Participating in L4GG’s TPS Pro Bono project for Ukraine, the company will offer free legal assistance from volunteer lawyers, who will help apply for TPS and answer any necessary legal questions.
Currently, Katten is also working with current pro bono partner Airlink, providing financial assistance through donation matching efforts. Airlink has developed a response plan to help refugees from Ukraine by delivering aid and transporting emergency teams to neighboring countries.
The Broward County Legal Aid Service and the Coastal South Coast Legal Aid have recently honored several legal professionals for their commitment to seeking justice for the most vulnerable members in their communities.
