Residential conveyancing solicitor (2+PQE)
Gibson Kerr is looking for a residential conveyancing solicitor with a minimum of 2 years PQE.
Location: Edinburgh (but flexible working available)
Hours: 37.5 per week
Salary: Excellent salary for the right person
Annual leave entitlement: 30 days (incl public holidays)
Gibson Kerr is a long-established, central Edinburgh, legal practice with an established client base, specialising in family law, personal law, residential conveyancing and estate agency.
The business is a three-partner firm, with eight other qualified solicitors. We operate from two offices in Edinburgh’s New Town, but also offer flexible/agile working, so working from home is available. We are a small team of specialists in our individual areas and our emphasis is on providing a quality, personal service to our clients.
The firm is looking for a solicitor with a minimum of 2 years post qualifying experience who specialises in residential conveyancing to join a small team to work in our residential estate agency and conveyancing department.
This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to develop their career within a supportive environment. The successful candidate will have their own caseload and be required to help develop an already expanding department. They will report to head of property, Beverley Cottrell.
The person will have a good working knowledge of the relevant law and experience in a client-facing role and have good communication skills. They will be enthusiastic, bright and cheerful – someone who will have a good rapport with clients, colleagues and other solicitors.
They will be hardworking and confident. An ability to deliver sound advice to clients in a confident and professional manner is essential. A willingness to promote the services of the business when suitable opportunities arise is important.
